MIMOSA - MarItime and MultimOdal Sustainable pAssenger transport solutions and services - is a strategic project of the Cross-Border Cooperation programme Interreg VA Italy-Croatia, aiming at improving the offer of multimodal sustainable solutions and services for the transport of passengers of the Adriatic-Ionian regions involved in the programme. The project foresees the realization of pilot actions and investments aimed at improving the passenger’s mobility in terms of environmental sustainability and multimodality.
Central Adriatic Ports Authority is involved in the project through the realization of a pilot action aiming at increasing the efficiency of the traffic information flow towards passengers during the waiting time at the embarking and disembarking phases, especially during peak seasons. The pilot action consists in the installation of new smart and technological instruments like maxi-screens and displays to ease the access to real- time information concerning ferry timetables. Another objective is the improvement of the communication flow between the passengers and the security personnel through the installation of SOS devices, equipped to deliver on- time messages in different languages (Ita, En, Cro, Gr)
