The PROMARES project - Promoting maritime and multimodal freight transport in the Adriatic Sea- is co-financed by the Interreg VA Italy-Croatia CBC cross-border cooperation programme and has as its main objective the improvement of maritime and intermodal connections of the ports involved through two different actions:

the analysis of the needs and the potentials for maritime and multimodal transport (economic analyzes) and the strengthening of ICT systems for the management of multimodal flows.

Central Adriatic Ports Authority is involved through the realization of studies aimed at investigating the potential traffic of the ports – with particular attention to the “Special Economic Zone” of Abruzzo Region - and the evolution of the trucks tracking system between Scalo Marotti, the boarding areas of the ferry terminal and the commercial area of the port of Ancona.

The PROMARES project has a duration of 30 months (from 1 January 2019 to 30 June 2021) and involves the following partnership:

The total budget of Central Adriatic Ports Authority is € 229.050 100% financed (85% EU funds and 15%national rotation fund ).

The total budget of the project amounts to € 2.778.200,00.
