An unexploded bomb from World War II was found close to the port areas. The clearance activities will be carried out the 20th January 2019. As a consequence, the Town of Ancona has organized the evacuation of the population and of the vehicles in the area within a 800 mt radius. The ferry check-in terminal and several port parking are enclosed in the area to be evacuated. No vehicles can stay parked in the evacuation areas, the access/exit roads to the port will be closed and the traffic will be stopped from 7AM.
The ferry and commercial traffic will be suspended for the whole day.
